Overview - 'This knowledge-based course examines the emergence of creativity in the 20th century, exploring its social, political, and historical contexts. It covers how creativity developed in response to the Cold War, deindustrialisation, and changing productivity ideas. Students will study creativity’s role in military, manufacturing, and government settings, as well as its connections to fields like engineering and psychology. The course also explores the measurement and materiality of creativity and its global impact, preparing students to engage in debates on artificial intelligence, labour, and creativity.'
